Business Portraits: headshots of your and your colleagues

business portraot corporate headshot male Chris Mann PhotographyIn the internet era how you present yourself online has become very significant.

Many times, a potential client’s first contact with you can be through social media or your website, so making a good first impression is key.

A big part of that is your profile picture or “headshot”.  A cellphone “selfie” or a random snapshot taken at a corporate event is better than nothing, but it’s not going to give the right impression to potential clients.

If you haven’t had a professional portrait taken, now’s the time! It’s quick, easy and inexpensive.

The shoot can easily be done at your location, and in most cases I set up a plain background for the photos. Most people opt for a simple head and shoulders standing shot as shown.

Of course everyone feels a bit nervous in front of a camera, especially if they haven’t had a professional photo shoot before, but a big part of what I do is to put you at your ease and guide you towards the most suitable pose and style. I always take a variety of pictures so that you can choose the ones you like best.

As well as the regular plain-background headshots, we can also do some “environmental portraits” showing your office or premises, or anything else relevant to your business.

Consistent business portraits of your team

If you have colleagues that also need business portraits it makes sense to get them all done in one go, so that the style and lighting are consistent, and only one visit is needed.

Depending on how many different images you need, the shoot can take as little as ten minutes per person, minimising disruption to the working day.

A medium-sized meeting room, cleared of furniture, is usually sufficient space for me to work in.
